I used to be an Oscars fan, but I didn’t even realize the Academy Awards were happening tonight until I saw in my tweeter feed that Will Smith was trending.

I was shocked when I saw what had occurred. Is that part of the act? Could he have punched Chris Rock on stage live while being broadcast to the entire world, as if it were a reality show? No, I couldn’t believe it. Will Smith have an out-of-control rage attack and batter someone on camera?

I began to research the unedited exchange. It took only a few seconds to discover an Australian and a Japanese unedited video. You may hear Rock joke about Smith’s wife and Will’s rant.

First, I’d want to know why the joke is supposed to be hurtful. I have no idea why. Can someone explain it to me?
